Exclusive distributor of Dupont enzymes in France, Altilis Nutrition Animale launches its new phytase Axtra® PHY in swine and poultry.

 

Axtra® PHY is a patented 6-phytase, sourced from the bacteria Buttiauxella and expressed in Trichoderma reesei. It is registered in Europe as a zootechnical additive "digestibility enhancers" (4a24). Axtra® PHY has the highest activity at low pH compared to the other marketed phytases. It works quickly in the digestive tract, doubling the rate of phytate destruction to release phophorus and overcome its anti-nutrient effects. The net result is 20% improvement in the release of phosphorus and calcium at standard phytase inclusion levels.
